Ice surface motion record from site GNSS-C on Isunnguata Sermia in West Greenland measured using a Global Navigation Satellite System receiver between August and November 2023

GB/NERC/BAS/PDC/02235

Summary

Abstract:
This is a dataset of ice motion from a single GNSS receiver at Site GNSS-C on Isunnguaa Sermia in West Greenland that captures the ice dynamic response to the drainage of an ice-marginal lake as described in Livingstone et al. (2026). The dataset covers the period 24 August 2023 - 27 November 2023 and comprises records of ice surface position at a 10 second, 10 minute, and 1 day interval. Ice surface velocity is provided at a intervals of 10 minutes and 1 day.

The SLIDE project is funded by the Natural Environmental Research Council Standard Grant NE/X000257/1. We acknowledge the support of Kangerlussuaq International Science Support and the local knowledge and guidance of Chris Sorensen.
