Abstract
This full-colour, 1:3 000 000 scale map illustrates the tectonic history of the Scotia Arc, between southern South America, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. It summarises the land geology of the Scotia Arc, its marine geology and its geophysics; layer tinting dramatically displays the bathymetry of the Scotia Sea.
Map projection: Oblique aspect Azimuthal Equidistant. Latitude and longitude of origin: 62°00'S, 52°30'W. Scale factor at origin: 0.999342.
